Being born with a cleft lip has affected my confidence all throughout my life and has held me back from making the most out of my life in some respects. 

Meeting new people is the biggest challenge, I am always waiting for them to notice, it is really off putting especially in my job as I attend meetings and don’t always have the confidence to speak out as if I do then I know they will definitely notice.  Meeting people in general is hard too, I wait for them to look and can cope with that but some people just look and look and look which I suppose they are just curious but to me it is frustrating.

I did research on the internet to investigate what further treatment was available for me as I wasn’t happy with the shape of my top lip.  Various things were returned from my search including surgery; however I came across Karen’s website and was straight away impressed. 

I made an appointment to see Karen for a consultation where Karen asked me what my expectations were and I confirmed that I would like a symmetrical lip line.  Karen was extremely professional but also really friendly and put me straight at ease.  She drew onto my lips and created the shape I had been looking for all my life.  I went away that day and knew I was going back.

I went back and underwent my treatment and I am happy with the shape of my lips, the colour has changed daily and I think this will need some touching up as Karen stated.  However, overall I am extremely happy with the results.

"I received my final treatment from Karen on 4.12.10 and I am absolutely over the moon with the results.

Having this treatment has changed my life so much; I have become more confident and happy in general, and when meeting new people especially I have felt more at ease and confident as they do not immediately stare at my lip now.

The results in general I couldn’t have asked for more, my lips look very natural and are as I asked Karen; very similar colour to my natural lip colour so they don’t stand out and the shape is symmetrical now so my face and teeth look lined up.

I can’t begin to thank Karen enough for the work she has done.  She has always put me at ease at every appointment and having this treatment has changed my life for the better.
