Gone are the days where lamination was something I did to protect my paperwork! Today, lamination has a whole new meaning, and it refers to brows! I’m going to tell you about the magic process of Brow Lamination in today’s new post…
What is Brow Lamination?
Lamination for brows is a two-step technique used to perm the brow hair. It’s a corrective technique that sets the brow hairs in place using a chemical solution. The treatment realigns the brow hairs into a new position, making them much easier to manipulate at home!
First, a cream is applied to break down the bonds in the eyebrow hairs. This step allows the brow hairs to be manipulated into their new position with ease.
A second cream is added to rebuild the bonds broken down in step 1. The brows can then be set into their new position.
To give clients more of a service, I combined Brow Lamination techniques with my highly sought after HD Brows treatment to form a whole new treatment in itself – BrowSculpt. The BrowSculpt treatment takes around 55 minutes in-salon and includes:
- A consultation to define those all-important brow goals
- A treatment to relax the hair
- A treatment to set the new hair shape
- A bespoke brow tint
- Brow mapping (this is where any tweezing, threading and plucking is done to create a perfectly groomed brow shape)
- Finally, finishing touches are added to perfect the final look
How can it benefit you?
Brow Lamination may be the perfect treatment for you if you struggle with unruly, flat or downward growing hairs. Realigning the hairs means that it’s easy to achieve fuller eyebrows with your own natural hairs. It can also give the brows a naturally lifted look (see the image below) which frames the eyes beautifully. If you love the brushed up brow look or even want to get the neatly groomed look without having to wrestle with your brow gel every morning, I think you’ll love this treatment!
How long can it last?
A BrowSculpt treatment can last up to six weeks. The life of the treatment can be prolonged by following the aftercare advice (such as keeping your brows dry straight after treatment) given in-salon.
How much does it cost?
The RRP of HD Brows BrowSculpt treatment is £40. This includes the full HD Brows treatment along with Brow Lamination.
